During the Student Led Conferences, a Book Fair will be running in the Library.

The Book Fair will be open Tuesday 28 May - 2.15pm to 7pm and Thursday 30 May - 3pm 6pm. We encourage parents to take time to have a look at the amazing selection of books on offer. EFTPOS available.

Change of Staff

ANZAC Day Parade

Sophie Notman, Ella Symes, Emily Neal, Baxter Lewis and Arthur Cartlidge represented OIS with dignity and respect at the ANZAC parade laying a wreath at the RSA memorial garden.

Oamaru Intermediate has one of New Zealands top school presentations visiting us, an award-winning magician and ventriloquist, Elgregoe. The show is on Wednesday 15 May, for a cost of $5 per student.

Our teachers will be attending the Waitaki NZEI Branch Union Meeting on Friday 10th May at 1.30pm. There will be no classes in the afternoon and we would appreciate if you could make arrangements for your child after 12.30pm on that Friday.

Please see attached a Girls Only Grade Rugby flyer. Our tackle grade starts at 7 years old. We have a lot of girls playing Rippa Rugby but dropping off once they come to the tackle grade. The winner of the $100 voucher was Chris Duff who sold $600 worth of chocolates, 2nd top seller $50 voucher went to Lucas Chellew 3rd & 4th top sellers $30 voucher went to Zoe Meikle and Luca Rogers.

2019 OIS Student Council

Our Student Council for Term 1 and 2 is made up of two students from every class. Each week they meet with Mrs Hirst to discuss things that are happening in the school, what's coming up and any concerns students may have.

Gumboot Up on Friday 5 April!

OIS have decided to join the growing number of schools and businesses participating in Gumboot up next Friday 5 April. Put your gumboots on and bring along a gold coin donation (if you can). All funds raised on the day will help provide free counselling to kids who need it
