Rebecca Meek Principal

Rebecca is the Oamaru Intermediate School Principal/Tumuaki.

She has had many years of teaching experience in Intermediate school and she is a strong believer in the value of Intermediate Schools for meeting the diverse needs of our students. Rebecca is passionate about adolescent’s welfare and empowering students to be the best that they can be.

Rebecca enjoys the diversity that comes with teaching and leading at an Intermediate school. Every day is different. “I love the fact that we offer such a wide range of cultural, learning, and sporting experiences at our school, and that students are encouraged and supported to take every opportunity that comes their way. I enjoy watching individual students find strengths that they didn’t know they had”.

When she is not at school, or leading a Les Mills Group fitness session at the Waitaki Recreation Centre she’s most likely found spending time with her family and friends.
