With only two weeks of the term left I would like to thank all staff for the extras they have done over and above their core jobs.
There are still a large number of children arriving late to school on a regular basis. This is not acceptable! School starts at 8.55am and it is important that everyone is in class ready to start the day. If you child is going to be late or sick please phone the office by 9am.
Our students are practising really hard for performance day TOMORROW - Thursday 20 June at 1.30pm. We would love to see you there!
If you did not collect an Enrolment pack from W.B.H.S. or W.G.H.S. on their Open Nights, you can call and get one from the O.I.S. office.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 needs to be paid by Friday 28 June. Fundraised money counts towards the deposit. The full amount of your child's camp is to be paid by 13 September.

The annual interschool rugby match between S.K.C. and W.B.H.S is played this Friday 5 July.
The NZEI has advised that the Principal and teachers at our school will be taking strike action on Wednesday 29 May 2019.
Term 3 has arrived with a very busy calendar of sporting and cultural events which is typical.
The Book Fair will be open Tuesday 28 May - 2.15pm to 7pm and Thursday 30 May - 3pm 6pm. We encourage parents to take time to have a look at the amazing selection of books on offer. EFTPOS available.

We have two staff members leaving us in the next two weeks. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Olivia Brien and Rebecca May for their contribution to teaching and learning at OIS along with the time they've spent coaching sports teams.
Sophie Notman, Ella Symes, Emily Neal, Baxter Lewis and Arthur Cartlidge represented OIS with dignity and respect at the ANZAC parade laying a wreath at the RSA memorial garden.
Oamaru Intermediate has one of New Zealands top school presentations visiting us, an award-winning magician and ventriloquist, Elgregoe. The show is on Wednesday 15 May, for a cost of $5 per student.
