Here are some dates to remember of events happening throughout term one at OIS.
We have been made aware by our footwear retail stores that there is a shortage of school shoes in Oamaru, and due to shipping delays, deliveries for a lot of sizes are delayed until February.
Year 7s start Tuesday 1 February at 8.55 am and finish at 3.00 pm. Year 8s start Wednesday 2 February at 8.45 am (note the change of times) and finish at 2.45 pm. Students to meet on the basketball court outside the hall. Nb: Dacre Street entrance will be closed due to SouthRoads work being done. Apologies to parents but we cannot have you on-site. Make sure you have a mask with you too.

We have our Annual Rewards Day which is a day of fun and activities recognising the positive behaviour of students.

We are looking for bike jumps to be able to set up for our end of year treat day. If you have any that we could borrow, and are able to drop off and pick them up from school on Wednesday 15 December, please contact [email protected]
We have 55 Swan plants to give away. If your family would like some at home for the holidays please pick up from the trailer outside the school hall. First in first serve.
To celebrate the end of our Year 8's time at OIS, they will celebrate with a Social on Monday 6th December at 6 - 8 pm in the school hall.

Reports will be sent home with all students on Friday 10 December. Your child will have had the opportunity to read their report and clarify any questions with their teacher. Our reports show both the level of achievement and progress made during their time at O.I.S.
Oamaru Intermediate has a cup donated by the Robinson family. This cup is for achieving excellence in sport. We need the nominations in by Tuesday 30 November.
If your child is attending either Waitaki Boys' or Waitaki Girls' in 2022 and you do not have an enrolment form please come to the OIS office to collect one.
This Trust offers support to parents of Year 6 and Year 8 pupils who foresee financial hardship in the purchasing of new uniform items as their child moves into Year 7 and Year 9 at High School.
