Since March 2019, the number of confirmed cases of Measles has continued to grow, and impacting several regions across the country.
All tickets and money must be in to the school office by tomorrow morning (Thursday 12 September) at the latest.
On Friday 30 August at Oamaru Intermediate school, a bake sale and mufti day were held to raise money for The Child Cancer Foundation. The total funds raised came to $933.20.
All fees need to be paid by Wednesday 18 September.

Term 3 Week 8 - As you are aware we are a PB4L school. PB4L is about considering and/or changing the environment, systems and practices that we have in place to support students to make positive behaviour choices.

In 2018 OIS was kindly donated a large number of hi-vis vests for our students by Waitaki Road Safe. We'd love our students to be more visible and safe when travelling to and from school!
Oamaru Intermediate School has been advised that since 22nd August, five people have been confirmed with measles in the Southern region and the disease is now likely to be spreading in the wider community.
Only 4 services will be running on Monday. They are as follows: Airedale, Maheno, Clifton Falls and Town Bus. This is due to High Schools being closed for their mid-term break.
The raffle tickets for this fundraiser will be given out tomorrow to those families who are still needing to fundraise for Year 8 camp.
OIS has just commenced a very successful 2019 Netball season. We had 8 teams part of the North Otago competition on Saturdays.
On Tuesday, 35 students as part of the Kapahaka group, travelled to the Opera House to perform in the bi-annual North Otago Hui Ako festival.
Last week every class had a free session with Kirsty from St John's in Schools around emergency first aid.
We are in the midst of a very busy three week period. Two weeks ago we had our Open Night for 2020 enrolments, our Cross Country event that Friday, Netball finals last Saturday and I attended the South Island Intermediate Principals Conference in Christchurch for three days.
