Check out what is happening in our Community!

Fast and the Furious for all swimming attending the North Otago Primary and Otago Primary Swimming sports this Friday the 15th March 2024. These events will prepare them for the two upcoming swimming competitions. If they have any questions or require support re. a stroke etc, we can support them with this.

Waitaki Event Centre Trust Kids Disco Night - Friday 12 April at the Loan and Merc, Harbour Street, Oamaru. 

One Night - Two Discos

Years 1 - 4 - 5pm to 6.30pm (All children must be accompanied by an adult)

Years 5 - 8 - 7pm - 8.30pm (No Passouts - Safe and secure event with supervision)

Gold Coin Entry at the door. Food for sale on the night. Popcorn, Drinks, Lollies and Hot Chips - all $2 each

Squash - Junior Squash Coaching is happening Term 1 Wednesday's 3:30-4:30 down at the Oamaru Squash and Badminton Club. It's $2 a session and racquets are provided. Just turn up with clean sports shoes. 

Awamoa Football Club has opened up registrations for the season. They're open now until March 31st.

Harbour Street Jazz & Blues Oamaru Talent Show Saturday 23 March from 10.30 am. Open to all genres of music and all ages. Sing or play a musical instrument, on Main Stage Harbour Street. Applications to: (See poster below)

Calling all young musicians and singers - The Penguin Club in Oamaru is opening its stage to all young singers, budding musicians, and garage bands from ages 11-18 to showcase their talent on Mother's Day Sunday 12th May at 2 pm (adult helpers allowed). Please email Jen at if you are interested or would like more information. Come along, become a youth member, and practice your acts on Mondays anytime from 6 pm - 8 pm.
