Y Whanau - Free Parenting Programme for parents & caregivers of 10 to 16 year olds. Attached you will find the information associated for a FREE 2-hour evening sessions - over 6 weeks, parenting programme for parents and caregivers of 10–16-year-olds being delivered in Oamaru (starting on the 31st of July 2024.)
This programme is focused on advocating for the needs of young people to their parents, in a supportive environment in which parents feel empowered to empower their taiohi. (See attachments)

We are really excited to let you know that on the last Sunday of the July school holidays there will be a Plastic Free July Expo and Repair Café held at the Waitaki Recreation Centre on Orwell St. (Sunday, July 21, 10 am-2 pm). (See posters attached)
This will be a free family event with something fun for everyone – from sourdough and kombucha demonstrations, sustainable art making, colouring in comps, slow fashion displays and info, interactive displays on plastic issues and solutions, stalls on the impacts of plastic on our marine environment and local penguins, plus there will be a kids tinkering corner at the Repair Café and local handy people ready to help you fix your treasured items, plus much more.
There will also be the Great Waitaki Sewing Bee – follow our Waste Free Waitaki Facebook page for further updates.
