Principal's Message
Our Purpose: To prepare students to be active participants who will contribute to their community. Tēnā koutou katoa, Malo e lelei, Talofa lava, Bula vinaka
The end of Term 4 is approaching fast and we appreciate your support in ensuring that students are interacting positively and safely. Our staff work hard to keep student routines running smoothly and the timetable predictable. It is important that we continue to support our students to continue to strive for excellence in attitude and behaviour.
This week we celebrated Kate Lawrence and Carmen Sim graduating as Fully Registered teachers. We are so proud of their accomplishments. Both of these teachers bring so much energy and enthusiasm to O.I.S.
Today we had our first transition day for our 2022 Year 7 students. The excitement was certainly there for all to see. Our Year 8 students are involved in their high school transition days next Friday at Waitaki Boys' and Waitaki Girls' High.
Friendly reminder
If you are coming to the school office for any reason, please ensure you scan in and wear a mask. If you're picking your child up early, we would appreciate if you communicate with your child’s teacher. It is important that you let us know if someone different is collecting your child.
Reports
Reports will be sent home with all students on Friday 10 December. Your child will have had the opportunity to read their report and clarify any questions with their teacher. Our reports show both the level of achievement and progress made during their time at O.I.S.
