SCHOOL ABSENCES & LATENESS
Parents/Caregivers are required to ring the school office before 9am (4370822) each day or text 022 327 5057 with your child's name and reason for their absence. If you wish to use Skool Loop for absences please see information below.
To apply this app to your phone:
Choose the Skool Loop app from your IOS or Apple store.
Install the app.
Open the app and click on Select Schools.
You can either search for Oamaru Intermediate using the search bar or select the options, New Zealand, Otago, Oamaru Intermediate School. Click on the school (this will give it a green tick), and click on ‘select schools’ at the top right of the page.
Click on ‘Choose’. It may give you the option to add the app to your calendar. That preference is up to you.
Go to settings, Subscribe to groups: select General as well as applicable year groups and any room numbers your children are in.
You will now receive notifications when there is a notice for you.
To record an absent student select Absentee and follow the instructions.
You will already be able to see our newsletter on the Newsletter tab.
- Non-contact from parents will result in your child being recorded as truant. Please make this your priority in the morning if your child is away from school.
- Any student who is running late in the morning or leaving for appointments during the day must come to the office wearing their mask and Sign In/Out on the Vistab system.
