Whānau Survey

Oamaru Intermediate school is part of the Waitaki Ara Kāhui Ako. This is a group of schools who work together to create pathways, increase engagement and raise achievement for students.

As a Kāhui Ako, we want to create pathways for all learners to become contributing citizens. Our aim is for all learners to become capable in many different areas of their lives and learning, not just academically. Teachers across the Kāhui Ako are collaborating to develop key stage profiles for learners at important transition points; Age 5, Year 3, Year 6, Year 8 and Year 10. This profile will show their strengths and capabilities.

This week you should receive a link in your weekly email from your child's teacher, asking you to fill in a survey about how important certain capabilities are to you and your family.  If you would like a hard copy of this, please let the office know and one will be sent home with your child for you to fill in and return.

We would appreciate it if this could be done by Friday 20th November.  There are no right or wrong answers, just tick boxes, and your names are not recorded with your responses.  The more responses we get and the more cultural views we can incorporate, will ensure we are creating something that will suit all learners.
