On Monday 19th of November, 22 students, 4 parents, 2 teachers and one bus driver got on a 4 hour bus drive to the YMCA Wainui Park where we spent the next 4 days doing fun activities.

This event was held Thursday 8th November. Students were placed in a team of four and each student had to run approximately 2000m at the Caroline Bay Soundshell.

Congratulations to Noa Smith whose illustrations are going to be published in ToiToi magazine! The magazine received incredible submissions from young writers and artists all over New Zealand. It was extremely difficult to choose.

Students participating in this event are required to meet Miss Taylor and Sharon Wilson at the Whitestone Contracting Stadium (Centennial Park) at 3.40pm to get their name sticker. All participants must be in their correct PE gear and bring a drink bottle. Postponement date is: Thursday 29 November
The NZEI has advised that the principal and teachers at our school will be taking strike action on Thursday 15 August 2018.
You will no doubt have seen or heard in the media that teachers and principals have voted for strike action on 15th August. At this stage, it is set as a half-day strike in the afternoon. However, currently, there is a ballot being undertaken for teachers and principals in the NZEI union to increase this to a full days strike to make the government take more notice. The North Otago Primary Principals Association wish to inform you of the reasons around the decision to strike. We don't take this action lightly.
