Lions Club Speech Contest

Congratulations Jonty Drew! The Waitaki Lions Club Speech Contest was held over the weekend and all participants spoke extremely well on a wide range of topics, ranging from the Enjoyment of camping and What was unique in North Otago to the Colonization of the Moon and Mars.

Judges Fay Daniels and Faye Ormandy both found it difficult to separate the speakers as all who spoke were of a high standard, and they too were impressed by the range of topics and how the entrants presented their speeches. Well done Jonty Drew from O.I.S. who placed third in the Year 7 and 8 category. Jonty's speech was about 'How sport has an impact on your life and wellbeing'.
