The Oamaru Bricktopia Show will be on the weekend of April 13th and 14th, the first weekend of the school holidays. The show this year will be held in the Scottish Hall. We run a LEGO building competition for children and we encourage them to create something to display at the show and they could win a LEGO prize. Details are attached to the poster. There are LEGO activities for kids and adults to enjoy and a display of LEGO models and wonderful creations from exhibitors.

Waitaki Aquatic Centre will be hosting an Autumn Pool party before school goes back in Term 2. This will be on Tuesday 23 April, from 1pm – 4pm. I have attached a flyer for the event.

If parents are looking for activities for the kids to do during the school holidays, we will be running fun activities Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 pm – 4 pm, and inflatables Tuesdays and Thursdays 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm for both weeks of the school holidays.

Waitaki District Youth Council are running an Outdoor Movie Night, on Friday 19 April, postponed date Saturday 20 April. At the Oamaru Gardens band Rotunda area, 6pm. All Welcome, a gold coin donation for the Heart Foundation.

Next term, Thursday, 9th May, St Kevin's College Ōamaru will host an Open Day and Evening for families interested in applying for enrolment.

This open-day event allows prospective families to visit the campus and gain insight into the institution's educational offerings. This includes a tour of the College grounds and Hostel.

April Holiday Clinic - School Years 7 to 11
Designed for kids in school Years 8 to 11, including talented Year 7's. Prepare for the basketball season with our intensive coaching sessions focused on skill development leading into immersive game experiences. Players will have the opportunity to exploit defences, showcase their abilities, and boost their confidence as they approach the basketball season. (Social tile/Poster attached)

Herbert Forest Walking Tracks Open Day Sunday 21st April - Guided Walks through Swallows and Podocarp Tracks (1-4hrs), bring water, snacks, and sturdy footwear or boots. Calling all young musicians and singers - The Penguin Club in Oamaru is opening its stage to all young singers, budding musicians, and garage bands from ages 11-18 to showcase their talent on Mother's Day Sunday 12th May at 2 pm (adult helpers allowed). Please email Jen at youthpenguins@gmail.com if you are interested or would like more information. Come along, become a youth member, and practice your acts on Mondays anytime from 6 pm - 8 pm.
