Prizegiving Assembly tomorrow
Tēnā koutou katoa, Malo e lelei, Talofa lava, Bula vinaka -Prizegiving is tomorrow, Tuesday 17 December starting at 12:30 pm. At this prizegiving, we acknowledge Cultural, Sporting, Academic and Overall Excellence at Oamaru Intermediate. Students will be welcome to leave after Prizegiving. Students will be released after Prize giving at approximately 1.45 pm.
Please ensure that your child is in the correct clean uniform, shoulder-length hair must be tied up and only one pair of studs to be worn (no bracelets, necklaces or bangles). We appreciate your support with this.
Extra parking will be available on our field, entrance on Thames Highway gate, opposite the new Whitestone Cheese Deli and Diner. Please keep the entrance way to school clear and the bus stop.
At this assembly we will be announcing our 2025 Leadership Roles, please understand that there were some very tough decisions made this year for our House Captains. We had a large number of students for these positions.
After we name the House Captains, there will be some elated, happy students, but there will also be some disappointed students. They have invested time and effort into this opportunity so it’s important that this is acknowledged. The most important thing for those students to know is that we see them. We see the leadership potential and leadership skills in them.
If your child is awarded a trophy they are able to take them home for the holidays and bring it back in next year.

May this holiday season inspire us to spread kindness, compassion, and positivity as we look forward to the opportunities and adventures the new year will bring. Thank you for being part of our school community and for your ongoing support throughout the year.
Have a safe, happy, and restful break. We look forward to seeing you all in 2025!
