Life Education - Year 8 Only

In week 11, we have the Life Ed bus visiting us to deliver part of our Health Curriculum. This year the focus is on From the Shadows - Drug Education.

Students explore the possible physical, emotional, and social consequences of drug use. Students look at the benefits of delaying the decision to experiment with drugs and alcohol until the body is physically, emotionally, and mentally mature enough to make an informed decision. Students at all levels will explore the ways in which we can contribute to our own health and wellbeing. These may include good nutrition, sleep, hygiene, physical exercise, and keeping ourselves safe. 

This programme is very worthwhile and is delivered by a specialist teacher. There is a cost of $5 and this needs to be paid before the student’s first visit on Monday 8th April.
