Friday 17 June - Mufti Day and 1.15 pm finish

Making a difference in our community - OIS is having a MUFTI DAY on FRIDAY 17 June. To be included in the mufti day we are asking students to bring a can, or more, of food to help stock the Oamaru Food Bank. This means that students can wear their normal clothes for the day. REMINDER that we are also finishing at 1.15 pm on Friday due to an NZEI stop work union meeting.

This year OIS and the Student Council have decided to get involved with making a difference in our community. We believe that together we can make a difference for some families.

OIS is having a MUFTI DAY this Friday. This means that students can wear their normal clothes for the day - yes that’s right… no uniform!

To participate in the day we are asking that students bring a can, or more, of food, if able to, to help stock the Oamaru Food Bank. This contribution helps to make up food parcels for those who need food assistance. Help us do our part for our community.

Our goal is to collect more than 400 cans on this Mufti Day.
