Children's Spectacle Subsidy

Oamaru Eyecare get children referred to them by teachers and parents, many of which are eligible for the subsidy but haven't been aware if its availability.

Some parents may be hesitating to bring their children in to have their eyes tested due to cost. The enable subsidy covers up to $287.50 incl GST every year that the child is eligible up to 16 years of age, with an additional $51.11 if they require larger frames. There is also special funding available for children with more complex visual needs. Please see attached brochure. You can pick up one from the school office.
