Noia’ia, Talofa lava, Mauri, Kia orana, Mālō e lelei, Tālofa, Ni Sa Bula Vinaka, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Mālō ni and hello to our Pacific communities.

With a resurgence of Covid-19 found in the community in Auckland, the Government is taking a prompt response to breaking the chain of transmission through contact tracing, testing, and gathering of information.

Auckland is now at alert level three, while the rest of Aotearoa is at alert level two.

Together with our partners Bright Sunday, SunPix, Tagata Pasifika, Pacific Media Network, Good Morning Tonga and Radio Samoa, the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (MPP) has created videos in nine Pacific languages - Vosa Vakaviti, Te taetae ni Kiribati, Vagahau Niue, Te Reo Māori Kuki ‘Āirani, Fäeag Rotųam, Gagana Samoa, Te Gagana Tokelau, Lea Faka Tonga, and Te Gana Tuvalu, as well as in English, featuring the latest key messages on Covid-19 in New Zealand.

Key messages include current restrictions which apply and where you can find testing stations.

You can find the videos on MPP’s Facebook page, YouTube channel, Twitter account, LinkedIn and website.

Remember to practice good hygiene, stay at home if you are sick, and to be kind. We have done this before, and we can do it again.

Fa'afetai lava,

Laulu Mac Leauanae
Chief Executive
Ministry for Pacific Peoples
