At Alert Level 2...

Please be assured that we have sound level 2 practices in place for all staff and students.

  • At Alert Level 2 it is safe for all students, children and staff to attend school. There will be appropriate precautions in place.
  • Children and staff who are at higher risk of severe illness are encouraged to take additional precautions when leaving home.
  • Please keep anyone who is unwell at home, or come and pick your child up if they become unwell at school.
  • Good hand hygiene and cough and sneeze etiquette need to be continued.
  • Soap and water are very appropriate for washing hands. We have stocks of hand sanitiser for student use.
  • For schools, children, young people and staff should be far enough away from each other so that they are not breathing on or touching each other, coupled with good hygiene practices and regular cleaning of commonly touched surfaces. There does not need to be a specific measurement but where practicable and reasonable 1 metre can be used as a guide, particularly between adults.
  • We ask you not to come onto the school site unless necessary, and if that is the case to come directly to the office.
  • Bus services continue to run. Ritchie's who are returning to their Level 2 protocols including sanitising the buses after each run.
  • Staff and students are continuing with contact tracking.
  • It is not essential to wear masks but it is optional.

As always, we ask you to keep your child at home if they are unwell or to collect them from school if they become unwell. We do not have facilities or personnel to look after sick children for the day, nor is it our role. Thank you for your support in this matter.
