Principal's Message.....

By Mary Healey | Posted: Friday August 7, 2020

Thank you for everyone who participated in parent/teacher/Student Learning Conversations last week. It is something that is always a bit of a marathon for our teachers but they are really important in keeping parents informed of progress, strengths and next steps.

Your attendance, encouragement and support for your child shows them that you value their education.

For those of you who missed the opportunity due to sickness and other commitments, please do make a time to follow up with your child's teacher.

It's great to see the number of children involved in winter sport. Not only does the exercise benefit them, but being part of a team builds their sense of belonging and commitment to a group. It provides the opportunity to participate and contribute along with building their resilience.

Teachers are in the process of selecting teams for an inter-school event that is coming up. As always numbers are limited for these events and there will be disappointment for some who are not selected. Please support your child to maintain a positive perspective if they are feeling negative about missing out on selection.

I spoke at school assembly today about anyone who is wearing our uniform is seen as a representative of our school.

We have had phone calls lately about cycling and scootering behaviour and rudeness of some students. Some of these incidents are happening between 3.30 and 6pm. Please chat with your child about the group they spend time with, where they go and what they do.
