Year 8 Digital Technology

Making ideas come to life - from 2D to 3D.

The Year 8's got to dust off the 3D printers in Digi Tech this term.  They have had to research, modify and then develop a need or opportunity to print on one of the 3D printers.  To do this they used an online programme called Tinkercad, which let them manipulate shapes to create a model of their conceptual design.  Some of the outcomes were truly inspiring, creative and relatively technical.  From creative badges, jewellery and dog tags, to phone stands, ipad stands and carefully measured treasure boxes.
