The Talanoa Ako digital app for Pacific families is now available

The Talanoa Ako digital app for Pacific families is now available. It includes key information about education in 10 Pacific languages and English.

  • The launch of the Talanoa Ako app (Connecting Pacific families to important education information in Pacific languages).
  • Changes to NCEA and University Entrance Changes to NCEA and University Entrance requirements are being made for this school year to support students through the COVID-19 pandemic. You can find more information about the changes in English here and translated into the following Pacific languages here:

  • -Niue
  • -Fiji
  • -Samoa
  • -Tokelau
  • -Tonga
  • -Tuvalu

The Talanoa Ako app follows the previously launched Talanoa Ako radio programme to support Pacific parents with distance learning. The radio programme continues to air on the Pacific Media Network (PMN) station.

Parents who have missed the radio programme can start their Talanoa Ako journey via the digital app while those who were able to tune in can use the app as an additional tool to refresh their learning and continue building on it. The radio programme will air its 10th and final Talanoa Ako session on 22-28 June 2020.
