High Schools Orientation Days

Waitaki Girls, Waitaki Boys and St Kevin's College Orientation Days will be on Thursday 28 November. Please see information below....

• Waitaki Girls' High Schools Orientation Day is Thursday 28 November, 2019. Year 8 girls to meet at WGHS (MK Dunning Hall) by 8.45am. Students please come in mufti. Lunch will be provided in the school hostel but your daughter may like to bring some morning tea. The girls will be meeting a variety of key people and rotating around various activities. The day will conclude at 3pm. Girls will go home from Waitaki Girls.
• Waitaki Boys' High Schools Orientation Day is Thursday 28 November, 2019.  Year 8 boys meet at 8.45am at the WBHS main office. Please bring a pen, your morning tea and lunch. Wear closed in shoes and clothes suitable for physical and practical activities. Brings togs if you want to swim.  Activities will include:  English, Maths, Science, PE, Academic testing, School song and Haka practice, BBQ, Swimming and games. Parents are invited to join you from 4pm for a BBQ at the cricket pavilion on the front field to meet our teachers. The Rector would like to meet prospective students and parents to begin the "getting to know you" process. If you have not yet met Mr Paterson, please ring the Rector's PA, Yvonne on 03 4370529 ext 840 to make an appointment. (See attached Flyer)
• St Kevin's College Orientation Day is Thursday 28 November 9am - 3pm. This is for year 8 students attending in 2020.  Year 8 students need to wear mufti and bring a packed lunch and a pen. Students with health issues requiring allergy treatment or inhalers etc need to bring those supplies with them and let Ms Walshe know about the issue. Please be aware of bus traffic around the college if you are new to SKC and use the one way system when picking up or dropping off. If students are unable to make it to Orientation Day, there will be a short introduction to the college from 9am - 11am - Monday 2nd December.
