O.I.S has made it into the ToiToi Magazine!

Congratulations to Noa Smith whose illustrations are going to be published in ToiToi magazine! The magazine received incredible submissions from young writers and artists all over New Zealand. It was extremely difficult to choose.

NORTH OTAGO ATHLETICS SPORTS - MONDAY 26 NOVEMBER, 2018 (4pm - 6pm)

Students participating in this event are required to meet Miss Taylor and Sharon Wilson at the Whitestone Contracting Stadium (Centennial Park) at 3.40pm to get their name sticker. All participants must be in their correct PE gear and bring a drink bottle. Postponement date is: Thursday 29 November

Teachers Impending Strike Action (copy)

You will no doubt have seen or heard in the media that teachers and principals have voted for strike action on 15th August. At this stage, it is set as a half-day strike in the afternoon. However, currently, there is a ballot being undertaken for teachers and principals in the NZEI union to increase this to a full day’s strike to make the government take more notice. The North Otago Primary Principals’ Association wish to inform you of the reasons around the decision to strike. We don't take this action lightly.

Digi Tech going virtual

This week Year 8 students in Digi Tech have been creating 360* virtual tours of the grounds at O.I.S. They had to use a special app and layer objects, images, text and videos overtop of each other to add detail to their area.
